When you have fully checked in and refreshed for the excitements ahead, we head for the very heart of Badagry where our first port of call will be the Brazilian Barracoon Site Visit, the famous slave safe house of that era owned by Seriki Abbass. We shall also visit the Slave Trade Relics Museum of the Mobee royal family.
Adventures await as we board a boat for Gberefu Island, the legendary trail of the slaves as they trek through the Point of No Return Trails that led them to the slave merchant ship anchored at the Slave Port.
There will be a brief stop at the mythical well where legend has it that slaves were made to drink from and subsequently forget all as they embark on the journey to the unknown.
At the Slave Port, you will get opportunities to enjoy the vast expanse of the beach and have a picnic as free Adventurers in this historic ocean shoreline.
Our trek takes us back to the jetty for an early evening jolly boat ride back to the Badagry Marina, where we shall have also savour the local settings and soak in the local culture.
The #BadagryAdventures2017 return by our luxury coach to Whispering Palms Hotel & Resort for our first night filled with fun, dance and party complemented by the outstanding Ram Barbecue.
The second day of #BadagryAdventures2017 with an early choice of Whispering Palms Resort Tour, Aerobics Training, splash in the Pool and exercise in the Gym. There is also Bicycle Rides and visit to Animal Zoo or you can choose to spend a reflective morning by the peaceful waters of the lagoon.
We depart late morning into the very heart of Badagry for the Visit to Agia Tree Monument, where you will stand at the same site that Christianity was first preached in Nigeria.
You will arrive just in time to see the doves flocking their for their morning meals and also catch a good glimpses of the historic city at every step of the way.
We leave from there to the First Storey Building in Nigeria where you will uncover its rich collection of relics from the past including the legendary first Bible to be translated into Yoruba language.
The Adventure also take us to the First Primary School in Nigeria, several other sites along the way before terminating at the Badagry Heritage Museum, which a repository of collections that bring back the relics, historical accounts and artefacts and more from the era of slavery.
The #BadagryAdventures2017 coach leaves the Badagry Heritage Museum for the scenic beach of Badagry where we will enjoy the splashing waves, picnics and relaxation by the ocean till sunset.
The #BadagryAdventures2017 coach will return to Whispering Palms Hotel & Resort for our second night filled with fun, dance and party into the night.
The third day of #BadagryAdventures2017 begins with an early morning choice of Whispering Palms Resort Tour, Aerobics Training, splash in the Pool and exercise in the Gym. The #BadagryAdventures2017 will also feature a special networking session before we depart Whispering Palms Hotel & Resort by noon for the Lagos, the bustling commercial capital of Nigeria.
